Kianoff & Associates History

With a focus on getting the best by integrating technology into accounting, Kianoff & Associates has become a leader in helping companies strengthen their business performance with award winning integrated accounting and business management systems. Since our start in 1986, we've grown to some 300 clients throughout Alabama, the southeast and 30 states. These companies span the business spectrum in size - single users and multi-site operations - and industry, from health care, restaurant and high-tech to distribution and light manufacturing.

Lisa Kianoff, CITP.CPA, CGMA, founder and president of Kianoff & Associates, is a well-respected professional business woman that has earned numerous awards from her peers in the industry. She was a pioneer in the field of computerizing accounting and business management systems: One of the first 50 US companies in the mid-1980s to sign on to represent what is now Microsoft Dynamics GP.

She started her career at the international CPA firm of Touche Ross and Co where she helped the Birmingham location launch a new concept: Let's get our clients to start doing their accounting on computers. Two years later she launched Kianoff & Associates to focus on that exclusively, and began building a process for strengthening the business performance of clients through needs analysis, software sales, custom report writing, support, integration and implementation services. Her approach as a CPA was, and remains, to work in partnership with clients as a trusted business advisor. Today, using the latest proven technologies, Best Practices and a team of certified consultants, installers and trainers, her company has earned an enviable reputation among users, clients and many of the region's top CPA firms for solid implementations, comprehensive training and quality accounting software and technical support.

Lisa has also built strong relationships in the local business community out of eagerness to share her experiences and join with others who see the potential to grow the community. She has taken a lead nationally in her industry; serving on boards and business advisory panels for the software publishers she represents as well many committees of the multi-national Information Technology Alliance, a professional trade organization. What permeates through all her interaction is the commitment to partnership which has proven so successful in her business.
